Our history
Since the arrival of the new management, our company is in an era of expansion. In addition to developing niche products, we will soon be adding new equipment to our Upton, Montérégie facility, which will allow us to significantly increase our production capacity in order to meet our Canadian and American customers demands.
Our short-term growth plan is defined as follows :
- New ophthalmic ointment production line (Q2-2023) ;
- New ophthalmic drops production line (Q4-2024);
- Addition of several new ophthalmic products;
- International market development;
- Accessibility to the American market;
- Development of the veterinary market.

François Roberge
President & CEO
Mr. Roberge holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, CPA and CA, and has over 25 years of experience in management, mergers and acquisitions, as well as finance and operations, in the pharmaceutical and other fields.
He held the position of Executive Vice President and CFO in a Canadian generic pharmaceutical distribution company for eight years. An experienced manager, Mr. Roberge has developed over the years a fine expertise in the manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceutical products
Nathalie Toutant
VP Scientific Affairs
Nathalie Toutant holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Montreal. Prior to joining the STERI-MED PHARMA in 2020, she was Director of Scientific Affairs for a major generic pharmaceutical company. Ms. Toutant was responsible for identifying business opportunities (products and partners) as part of the 0-5 year strategic planning.
She was also responsible for the development of generic health products and natural health products, as well as their registration with various regulatory authorities in Canada and internationally. Her 30 years of experience, as well as her in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, make Mrs. Toutant a qualified professional to support the growth of STERI-MED PHARMA.
Nathalie Lévesque
Quality Director
With a degree in biology from the Université du Québec à Rimouski, Nathalie Lévesque has more than 15 years of experience in the sterile pharmaceutical industry, particularly in sterile ophthalmic ointments, sterile solutions and injectable products. She joined the STERI-MED PHARMA team in 2013 as a QC/QA assistant.
She now holds the position of Quality Manager since 2015. Ms. Lévesque is responsible for the quality of the manufacturing of the company’s DINs and previously subcontracted DIN

Mr. Roberge holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, CPA and CA, and has over 25 years of experience in management, mergers and acquisitions, as well as finance and operations, in the pharmaceutical and other fields.

Luc Mainville
Senior VP and CFO
LSL Pharma Group Inc.
Over 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
He was Senior VP and CFO of Valeo Pharma Inc, Interim CEO of Acerus Pharmaceuticals Corp, Partner at KPMG, President and CEO of Neopharm Labs Inc. and LAB Research Inc, and Vice-President of BIOTECanada.
Joined LSL in December 2023.

Sylvie Laplante
Corporate Quality Director
Over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and food industry, primarily in development and commercial production. Expertise in cGMP quality and compliance, GMP manufacturing, implementation or improvement of quality and compliance systems, compliance audits, and regulatory inspections (FDA, WHO, Health Canada).
Sofiane Attal
Plant Director
With 12 years of experience in production management in the pharmaceutical industry. Worked for Biopharm and multinational GlaxoSmithKline where he held positions in production management, continuous improvement, and corporate culture.
